Tom Otterness in a new video made by The Whitney Museum of American Art

The Whitney Museum of American Art is preparing for the 2015 opening of its new building in downtown Manhattan. In celebration of the new space, the Whitney has created a series of art videos focusing on the surrounding area- the High Line in Chelsea- which it will be situated in. Yesterday, as part of this series, the Whitney focused on the 14th Street and 8th Avenue subway station where Tom Otterness's 2001 installation Life Underground can be found. The 14th Street and 8th Avenue subway station will serve as the transportation hub for the museum come its opening in 2015.
